COD Policy

Trust goes both ways: How our cash on delivery (COD) policy works


One of the most common requests we received from our community was to introduce Cash on Delivery (COD).

Many of you were discovering our brand for the first time and were understandably hesitant to place a prepaid order. We understood that trust takes time to build, so we introduced COD to make shopping with us feel risk-free and comfortable.

However, over time, we've also experienced repeated misuse of this service.

As a small brand, every returned order comes at a high cost. To continue offering COD to genuine buyers, we need a system that is fair, responsible, and sustainable.

Our new COD rules

1. COD charges

We will offer COD to customers because we understand that trying a new brand can feel uncertain.

However:

  • A nominal COD handling fee of ₹149 will apply to cover the additional costs and risks involved in processing COD orders.

  • COD will be available only for orders up to ₹6,000

This allows first-time buyers to experience our ready-to-wear pocket sarees with confidence while helping us manage the additional costs and risks associated with COD.

2. Order confirmation is mandatory

Every COD order will be processed only after a confirmation call from our team. If the order is not confirmed within 48 hours of it being placed, it will be automatically cancelled. So, if you prefer not to answer calls, we kindly request that you place a prepaid order instead.

3. Responsible use of COD

If a COD order has been confirmed, dispatched, and later returned without a genuine reason, the customer will no longer be eligible to place COD orders with us in the future.

They can still shop with us through prepaid orders.

4. Express shipping is not available on COD orders

To ensure smooth processing and reduce avoidable returns, express shipping will not be offered on COD orders.

Some common things you can avoid as a customer

We kindly request that you avoid placing COD orders with the intention of refusing delivery under these circumstances.

Ordering for a special occasion?

"I need this by my birthday, but I'm not sure if it will arrive on time. I'll just place a COD order and return it if it comes late."

Please don't do that. Instead, reach out to us before placing your order. We will help you choose from our ready-to-ship options and do everything possible to ensure your order reaches you before your special occasion.

This way, you receive your saree on time and avoid unnecessary returns or restrictions on future COD purchases.

On every product page, you'll find our Call and WhatsApp buttons. Simply message us and let us know:

  • The occasion,

  • The date you need the order by, and

  • Any urgency involved.

Moving to a new address?

"If they deliver before I move, that's fine. Otherwise, no one will be there to receive the parcel."

Please let us know if you're relocating. We can coordinate delivery timelines or arrange shipment to your new address within India whenever possible. Communication helps us serve you better.

Changed your mind?

"I liked it when I ordered it, but I've changed my mind now." We request you to be mindful before placing a COD order. Each saree is crafted specifically according to your selected size and preferences. When such orders are returned, the cost to the brand doubles. Once prepared, it is often difficult to find another customer with the exact same specifications.
